This policy explains data handling on dragonsessentials.com, the Dragon’s Essentials guides and tools website. It applies to reading articles, searching and using the ROM patcher.

Data needed to browse

When you request a page, our hosting and security provider, Cloudflare, processes technical information such as your IP address, requested URL, time, browser and connection errors. This helps deliver content, prevent abuse and diagnose problems. Search terms are sent to the server to find articles; avoid including personal information in them.

ROM patcher files

The ROMs and patches you select are processed in your browser. They are not uploaded to our servers or saved with our hosting provider. The resulting file is downloaded to your device.

Cookies and local storage

We save your light or dark theme choice in your browser’s local storage until you change it or clear site data. The editorial dashboard may use session cookies to authenticate administrators. Security providers may also use necessary cookies to protect the service.

Google AdSense advertising

When advertising is active, Google and other advertising providers may use cookies, local storage, web beacons, IP addresses and identifiers to deliver and measure ads and prevent fraud. Google and its partners may personalize ads based on previous visits to this website and other websites, depending on your consent choices.
